At Emsworth Garage Doors we are conscious that we produce quite a lot of waste when removing old garage doors and replacing them with new, as such recycling is something that we’ve had to consider greatly in recent times to try and reduce our impact on the environment.
In order to do our bit to save the planet and stay green we recycle all of the metal doors that come out from your property and where possible recycle as much of the packaging that the doors arrive in as we can. From our base at the Wren Centre in Emsworth we have access to a large recycle bin that is provided by the centre for use by it’s residents, we also use a local scrap company H&S Metals to help with waste & recycling of all of the old metal doors that we remove from each job.
The Supply Chain & the environment.
Many of the manufacturers that we buy from are committed to setting a good example and none more so than Hormann & Garador. These 2 companies have a directive where by 100% of all the energy that they require is sourced from renewable green sources. This measure is coupled with the companies drive towards offering products for sustainable construction and also products designed to save energy that would otherwise be wasted in your home, such as the insulated range of LPU insulated sectional garage doors.
Finally many of the manufacturers implement intelligent and certified energy management systems, meaning that many tonnes of CO2 are saved each year.
