LPU Sectional
The Hörmann LPU Sectional is made from a double skin of high grade steel with an insulation infill and are particularly recommended for garages that are attached directly to the house.
LPU 42 or LPU 67?
The LPU 42 was the first Hörmann LPU door and offers very good thermal insulation with its 42mm thick sections.
The New LPU 67 Thermo offers everything that is expected from modern construction: the door has excellent thermal insulation, which is achieved by sections with thermal break with a U-value of 0.33 W/ (m²·K)*. This Hörmann LPU Sectional has a very good seal on spaces between sections with double lip seals and an optimum floor connection using double bottom seals, which also compensate for floor unevenness and energy losses.
Numerous advantages of the Hörmann LPU Sectional garage door
Sectional garage doors open vertically upwards and are suspended under the ceiling to save space. This construction principle means you can make full use of the space inside and in front of the garage. In addition, sectional garage doors can be fitted in any garage opening and offer up to 14 cm more passage width than up-and-over doors.
The Hörmann LPU Sectional is available in a range of designs, has 3 finish options (woodgrain, sandgrain and silkgrain) and 16 standard colour options, as well as being available in RAL to choose.
The Hörmann LPU 42 has the widest choice when it comes to design and is available in a range of standard sizes or specially made to measure.
Features
Choose between the double-skinned sectional LPU 67 Thermo, or the LPU 42. They both have outstanding thermal insulation.
-
Duragrain decors
The new Hörmann Duragrain finish comes in 24 different decors with a detailed, natural and colourfast door view. Innovative digital printing ensure a long-lasting beautiful finish.
-
Matching appearance
For white doors and all surface finishes, the fascia panel is always matching to the door sections. For coloured sectional doors, there are optional matching frame coverings in the same colour and finish.
-
Anti-lift security
When the garage door is closed, the anti-lift kit automatically engages and locks in place to secure against forced opening. This can continue to secure the door even when the power fails.
-
Long-term protection
A non-brittle 4cm plastic frame shoe covers the frame where it is prone to rusting and offers long-term protection against corrosion, even with waterlogging. The frame shoe matches the bottom edge to make the door visually appealing.
Sectional Doors
Sectional garage doors are one of the most popular garage door solutions around. Due to their strength and stability, their use has risen in most parts of the UK. Their architecture is known as the ‘sectional’ door since it is made up of different sections that open and close vertically.
